This story has just plain haunted me. It's agonisingly sad but manages (just!) to avoid being bleak. This works far better than some of the other dark fic I've read simply because Sam's accident and recovery, as gut wrenching as they are to read about are firmly grounded in reality and the story is all the stronger for it.Definitely worth reading.....just not if you're feeling the slightest bit fragile.Dean poked his 15-year-old brother, who was reading a book.
