One quick Supernatural rec:Someday (Never Comes) by traveller (Cee)GenI read a lot of fan fiction as my journal will attest but occasionally a story will come along that literally leaves me speechless. This is one of those stories. It tells the tale of John returning from a tour of duty in Vietnam and how he meets and falls in love with Mary. It's lyrical, evocative, achingly sad and just equisitely beautiful. There are honestly no words that could do justice to how brilliant this story is. It's so good I actually picked up the phone and called my dad straight after reading it - it made me ache that much. Go read it immediately!

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for the rec. I had a reviewer come over to "Never Alone" and said they got the story from your rec list. So, I just wanted to thank you...because there were so many "Shadow" coda fics and getting a rec out of all those hundreds really means a lot. Thanks again. :)
Thanks for thanking me - that's very sweet of you! There were indeed a large number of codas to Shadow (fantastic episode and one which seems to have inspired a number of wonderful John centric fics) but yours and Maygra's were definitely the best I've read so far. I also adored your AU ending for Faith - very sad but honest. And hey I'm delighted that people are actually reading the journal and finding their way to the fic - it's good to spread the love!

Fanfiction is just so addictive - it can just eat up all of your free time if you're not careful. I'm on vacation next week so won't go near a computer for 10 days - I may have withdrawal symptoms!Still I'm delighted that you're enjoying the recs.It's nice to know that people are reading.
